The history of The Strand Palace Hotel spans the whole of the 20th century, from Grand Edwardian beginnings to Art Deco elegance. Their fantastic location, just minutes away from Covent Garden in Central London has been welcoming guests since 1909. So naturally, when they decided to partner with Vending Sense we wanted to ensure their hotel residents and staff were refreshed with our coffee machine solutions.
The Challenge
With over 1,000 hotel residents and 270 staff members to cater for, The Strand Palace Hotel needed to have a durable and reliable coffee machine with great quality coffee to satisfy their customer base.
With a busy environment and a heavy demand for hot drinks, they needed a provider to help fully manage and maintain their coffee vending machines including restocking products, maintaining the machines and servicing them regularly.
As a result, The Strand Palace facilities team took their needs to tender to allow the top vending providers to showcase their services.
The Solution and Approach
The Vending Sense team created a tender pitch as well as conducted an ingredients tasting session for the Necta coffee vending machines that we proposed. After meeting the Vending Sense team and taste-testing a mixture of our coffee blends to find the perfect solution for them, The Strand Palace team decided to go ahead and partner with our services.
Our approach was to provide a fully managed vending service, with excellent customer care alongside great tasting coffee blends. Being a contactless paid coffee vending machine, Strand Palace Hotel also saw extra financial benefit from the revenue coming from their machine and the payments made.
The Result
The Strand Palace Hotel, saw a great improvement in staff satisfaction levels, having refreshments available onsite during shift hours. As well as improving their customer experience to provide them with top quality coffee at all times including reduced waiting times.
